I think Major League Baseball has a real winner with their Actober, “There’s Only One October” post season campaign. Dane Cook is great - you can’t help but get excited by his energy. He reminds me of Dennis Quaid.

Below are two pictures from Sunday’s Dad Memorial geocaching expedition along Highway 6.
This has to be one of my favorite cache containers of all time - although a Moose’s Tooth Pony Keg would be the best!

It was tense. It was nerve wracking. But the Red Sox finally took one from the Mariners in Seattle. I thought the poor Ski Boy was going to expire in the bottom of the 9th, when after two outs, Papelbon walked two before getting the final out on a foul pop up.
I’ll miss tomorrow’s series […]

Unfortunately, MLB doesn’t get the perfect match. As CNET […]

As both a certified geek and a certifiable baseball nut, I found CNET’s article on MLB’s on-line operations totally fascinating. Everything you wanted to know from the inner workings of those in-game game logs to MLB’s use of Service Oriented Architecture is covered.
Living in Alaska does not make one too terribly conscious of “black-out” rules. […]

It’s taking me a bit longer to recuperate that I had anticipated. I’m still pretty wobbly and not up to doing much - even though I thought I should have at least been able to meet the Sunday morning running group at New Sagaya for coffee. However, the Slat Rat body begged to differ. I […]
