A Darn Good Day

Posted by: Steph on April 10th, 2008

As I was walking out of AT&T Park after the Giants beat the Cardinals 5-1, I thought, “I’ve had a really great day!”
This morning’s (early morning, btw) Identity Management sessions at the RSA conference were quite good. I think that in regards to Identity Management, RSA 2008 has been the best conference that I’ve attended. […]

Nutty Buddy

Posted by: Steph on December 10th, 2007

Via Bustner Olney’s blog, former major league pitcher, Mark Littell has designed a new protective cup. He demos the cup in the You Tube video below. As Olney states, “No words can do the video justice”. It’s pretty funny.

The Game Just got A Little Tense

Posted by: Steph on October 28th, 2007

I wrote below that there hadn’t been much tension in this series. Well, looks like that was a jinx - Garrett Atkins just hit a two run homer off of Okijima in the bottom of the eighth - the score is now 4-3 and the Rockies are still at bat. But in comes Paplebon!
Here are […]

Scott Boras is a Dip Wad

Posted by: Steph on October 28th, 2007

Boras is such a shit (sorry - I know that for the most part this is a family friendly blog). But to leak word of Alex Rodriguez’s decision to opt out of his Yankees contract during the 4th game of the World Series is such a classless act. What a dip wad….
BTW - The Ski […]

World Series Game Four

Posted by: Steph on October 28th, 2007

I’ve done no World Series blogging - even though I’m a big Red Sox fan, I’ve been disappointed by the Series. There is absolutely no tension or excitement. I actually feel sorry for the Rockies.
However, we’re in the bottom of the seventh, two outs and Timlin is pitching. The excitement is that Gagne is up […]

World Series Tickets Heartbreak

Posted by: Steph on October 23rd, 2007

Today was not a good day on the World Series Ticket front. I was sooo close - twice!!!!! And the bleepin’ MLB ticket site booted me out as I was entering credit card information. I was crushed beyond belief - and furious.
See my email to the Rockies below:
I managed to get in on the web […]

A Massive Baseball “Denial of Service” Type Event

Posted by: Steph on October 22nd, 2007

Ah - it’s so much fun when baseball and technology cross paths. As I blogged earlier today, the Ski Boy in Florida, Lucy in Denver, and me in Anchorage, were all set and ready to go at 10:00 AM MDT when the Rockies opened up on-line sales for World Series tickets. I had real doubts […]

Accross the Country - Poised on the Colorado Rockies Website

Posted by: Steph on October 22nd, 2007

As I type, I’m in Anchorage with three Rockies website windows open, Lucy is in Denver with her finger twitching on her mouse, and the Ski Boy is on his parent’s patio in Sarasota, Florida riding on the neighbor’s wireless network. We’re in a state of high anxiety and anticipation waiting for 10:00 AM MDT […]
