Fantastic Week in San Francisco

Peter and I returned to Anchorburg late Tuesday night after a most fabulous San Francisco week - I rated it as our best San Francisco trip ever.

Here’s why:

  1. Romantic dinner with da Ski Boy at Chez Panisse. Peter and I think it was one of our all time top three restaurant experiences.
  2. Dinner with Songya and Lisa at the staggeringly scrumptious Asian Fusion restaurant, “The House”. Songya recommended The House. It’s on the border between Chinatown and Little Italy. And a mere 2 blocks from Songya’s snazzy apartment.
  3. Baseball game with Lisa and Jillian. The game was great - even though Brad Penny, a Red Sox cast off, was pitching for the Giants. And Jillian - wow, she is growing up fast!
  4. Running along the Embarcadaro every morning with Da Ski Boy. After our run, we would pick up espresso from the Blue Bottle in the Ferry Building and walk the mile back up to our hotel. Blue Bottle espresso could be the best ever.
  5. Tea and scones (or waffles!) almost everyday at The Samovar Tea in Yerba Buena Gardens
  6. Doing the O’Keefe-Ansel Adams and Richard Avedon exhibits at SFMoMA with Lisa and Songya.
  7. Shopping. Shopping. Shopping.
  8. And finally and most amazingly, I lost two pounds. How fabulous is that??? Losing weight on a trip to San Francisco. All that running and walking!
