Pooh and Myster Go To Washington
Pooh (son of Ski Boy) and Myster were at groundzero for the Inauguration. Myster has a great post on their experience. Lines. People. Hours. Cold. Hours of lines and people out in the cold. But they still had an exhilarating time - even if their feet are dog tired.
The Ski Boy and I also scored tickets. But, when we evaluated the sheer logistics of Inauguration Day which included: three million people, very tight security, and the metro system, we very reluctantly decided that the experience would be just be too exhausting. Better left to the younger folks.
That being said, I’m hoping for very nifty Inauguration Swag from the kids.
Hello. I am
What do you mean too old? I wasn’t too old to be there so you darn sure are not too old to be there.
Too old to fight lines starting at 4:00 AM and stand out in the cold for 12 hours. My bet is that you probably were in your truck and didn’t have to go through the whole line thing.
Your bet would be correct to a point. That is the point that all that cable has to be put down and picked up.
