Beyond Words
Tonight’s Obama victory is “Beyond Words.” For the first time in my life, I’m excited and proud over an election victory. This must be what Republicans felt in 1980.
Peter and I are celebrating at Sack’s with Maia and Seth. Most of the tables are occupied by Obama supporters - but there are a few Red tables and they’re doing o.k. amongst the other celebrating tables.
After finishing up dinner, we’re going to do Election Central at the Egan Center, the Begich party at the Anchor Pub, and Ethan’s soiree at Snow City.
A very happy Pooh and Slat Rat at Sack’s sporting their Obama t-shirts.
Maia with Peggy Begich - Mark Begich’s Mom and widow of Nick Begich Sr. who was lost in a plane crash 1972 with Hale Boggs in Southeast Alaska. Alaska is a small town and this just proves it.

Hello. I am
My congratulations to you. As you know we don’t politically see eye to eye but I am determined that I will not be a basher of the president. For too many years our country has not respected the office of president. We were never supportive of Clinton and could not say many nice things about him. Others have never supported Bush and could not say anything nice. I have come to believe that we only hurt our country and fellow citizens by not treating the president with respect. So I have decided that if the majority of americans want this man then I will give him a chance. So I will respect you by respecting him.
I hope and pray to everything that is Holy and a couple of things that are not that you and all those that voted for President Elect Obama are right and I am wrong.
