Palin’s nomination is the topic of conversation everywhere. None of us can believe it.

Jaw dropping. Sarah as Veep nominee is simply jaw dropping. Tygey and I just got back from his morning constitutional and the reaction on the street (literally) was total agog-ness. My Republican and Democratic neighbors alike were all just stunned. No one thought it made any sense at all.
Unfortunately, for Sarah, I think she’ll end […]

Good grief - it’s been almost two weeks since I’ve last posted. I’ve been absolutely swamped by work. It’s been difficult to find the spare cycles to blog. But, at least for the next 20 minutes, I’m experiencing a bit of breather.
So, last week, The Suze - Peter’s sister - was up escaping the summer […]

Great view from my hotel room last night - gorgeous moonrise over the mountain.
I’ve got to remember to start bringing my spiffy new tripod on trips! I could not do the scene justice but here’s my best shot - so to speak.

Ahh - the good life. I’m ensconced at the Keystone Lodge watching, as Peter refers to them, The Limpits. I just saw Michael Phelps blow away the field and the world record. Great fun. The men’s gymnastics were also cool.
This evening, Keystone is quite chilly - definitely Alaska like: 45 degrees and raining. But I’m […]

I’m sitting in a room in one of my favorite hotels, The Curtis, in Denver watching the Olympic Opening Ceremonies. The US Team has just marched in. Last Thursday, the Ski Boy and I, while still in Sun Valley, decided to do a geocache atop 9,000 ft. Mt. Baldy - the ski resort mountain. We chair lifted our way to the top - it’s such a long haul that two different chair lifts are required.
We had a fabulous lunch at the top […]
