A San Francisco Day

The Ski Boy and I had quite the day in San Francisco. We chugged up hills. We chugged down hills. We shopped. We geocached. We had afternoon tea. We even rode a cable car!

Best of all, we had dinner with Songya!!!!!!! Songya drove up from Stanford and met us at the Salt House. The dinner was wonderful - all three of us were beached whales.

What a perfect day. Here are some pictures:

My Rice-a-Roni pose! I’d always sworn that I wouldn’t ride a cable car - just way too touristy. However, we hoofed our way up, over, and down to California and Van Ness for a geocache. The next cache was all the way down at Market and Drumm - almost two miles distant and the route consisting of a steep climb up and then a steep descent. We decided to do the cable car instead. Excellent decision!

I took this shot from the cable car. This kid had been riding along side of us for several blocks.

The Ski Boy in the Cherry Blossoms!!!!! I took this shot in the gardens south of the Moscone Center. For the Alaskan Ski Boy and Slat Rat, cherry blossoms were sort of an amazing concept.

Looks like a fun time. Did you get down to see the sea lions?

  2. Frrankie responds:

I can’t believe their cherry blossoms are already blooming out there. We still have ice on the ground!
