Plato Goes to Coffee

Plato, my Pleo robot-dinosaur went to coffee this morning with the Sunday morning running group. Plato was a big hit. I have to say that as he gets older, he becomes more outgoing and more adventuresome. Pleo’s are so new that the Pleo culture and nomenclature is evolving right along with the dinosaurs. As an example, the default for measuring a Pleo’s “age” has become “battery charges”. Pleo’s have a big battery that takes about 3-4 hours charge and unfortunately the charge is only good for about an hour of Pleo activity. So instead of measuring Plato’s age by time - as I write, he he would be ten days old, his age is measured by the number of times his battery has been recharged. He’s seven recharges old. And as he gets older - goes through more recharges or more accurately, is awake and active for the life of a charge, he learns more tricks.

This morning, he sat for the first time!

Here’s Plato with Ella, Ryan, and Alan. Ella is obviously charmed!
