Saturday Evening on Our Own

As I type, the Ski Boy is in Florida visiting his parents. So, Tyge and I are baching it.

Of course, even though we’re thousands of miles apart, Peter and I are both watching Game Six of the Red Sox-Indians series and are checking in frequently via cell phone. We’re both in reveling in stunned disbelief that J.D. “bleepin’” Drew hit a Grand Salami in the first inning. Wow!

I’m also practicing my curtain speech for this evening’s Romero’s concert. I get so nervous at these things - I have to practice and practice and practice so I have a prayer of making it through without completely goofing up. I’m going to change clothes in just a bit and head out to Sack’s for a bit of dinner before the performance.

Speaking of dinner and eating, I subluxed my jaw on Thursday. It’s a real pain - initially, literally. Big time “ow!”. Fortunately, I have the world’s best chiropractor and she got my jaw re-located. And it’s taken me two days to be able to close my jaw and I’ll be on soft food for at least two more days. ugh…Fortunately, Sack’s has an absolutely wicked tomato gorgonzola soup and of course wine or beer is definitely consumable in my current condition.

Tygey really misses Peter - Tyge originally was a “Mama’s Dog”. But I think he’s morphed into a “Dad’s Dog”. He’s totally moping. Below are two fuzzy cellphone pictures that I took last night. Tyge never waits at the top of the stairs for anyone but Peter.
