A San Francisco Evening

After Day One of Digital ID World wrapped up, I did the long hike down Market Street to the Ferry Building and the world famous Slanted Door restaurant. My first stop was the Apple Store - I am totally lusting after an ipod touch. The official release date is not until this Friday. However, some are showing up a bit early. So, I’ll be visiting the store every day in search of a 16G ipod touch.

After the tantalizing, but fruitless (ha - a pun!) Apple store visit, I continued down Market Street. I’d gone about a 1/2 block when a shoeshine guy pointed at me, then my shoes, and then his chair. How could I resist?! I stopped and got the best shoeshine I’ve ever had (it might also be the only professional shoeshine I’ve ever had). My shoes were lookin’ sharp.

After the shoeshine, it was another fifteen minutes down to the Ferry Building and the Slanted Door. The view out to Treasure Island was striking - a clear, bright early evening.

And of course, dinner was wonderful!

The only thing missing was the Ski Boy.
