Linda’s 60th Birthday - in Style!
The Ski Boy and I had the most fabulous Seattle weekend. Our very good friend Linda celebrated her 60th birthday in style - a big bash in Seattle. Linda has friends scattered all over the US and Seattle is a very good central gathering point.
Friday night was a wine and hors d’oeuvres gathering in Lower Queen Anne at a condo complete with a spectacular view. Last night was an amazing dinner at the Boat Street Cafe. I bet there were sixty people in attendance - and it was so fun to see so many of our Alaska friends in Seattle. It was as if we’d all been transported - which I guess we were courtesy of Alaska Airlines. It was truly a fabulous night - we didn’t leave until Midnight. Very very late for the Ski Boy and Slat Rat.
As I type, I’m in San Francisco for the Digital ID World conference which starts tomorrow morning bright and early. I’ll be here until Friday - I’ll get to see Lisa and Jillian and Songya! Yea!!!!
The Ski Boy has just landed in Anchorage and is on his way up to Judy’s to pick up da Big Boo Bear (Tygey).
Here are a few photos:
We (well, me) just had to do a geocache on the way to the cocktail party. Pier 86 Elevator is located in the delightful park at the big ol’ grain elevators.
