In Denver!!!
I puttered down from Keystone to Denver late yesterday afternoon. I stopped off in Golden to have dinner with one of my favorite Alaska buddies who is now living high up on the Mesa with spectacular views west.
I’m in Denver today, will have dinner with another close friend this evening and then fly out tomorrow morning. My Denver hotel is The Curtis, a totally hip, very fun, and very good hotel. It has instantly become one of my favs. The rates are even reasonable - for downtown Denver during the summer.
And speaking of total favs, Denver has one of the best radio stations in the US: KBCO based out of Boulder. I’m not exaggerating, they are seriously good. It always such a treat for me to be able to listen while driving hither and yon through the mountains. Their in-house Studio C performances are a major bonus.
And finally - Man is it HOT. The thermometer is at 92 and rising. Whew!
