Sky High with the Blue Angels

The Blue Angels are in Seattle for SeaFair. As a result, downtown Seattle gets rather noisy between 1:30 PM and 2:00 PM as the hot blue jets roll and turn all around the city.

I lucked into a great vantage point for yesterday’s final practice run prior to the weekend air shows. The Smith Tower (where GCI’s Seattle offices are located) hosts an annual Blue Angels party and viewing in the Chinese Room and its observation deck on the 27 floor. Sometimes, I think I live an absolutely charmed existence.

I managed to get several pictures - although the observation deck protective grating/cage was a bit of hindrance.
