Quite the Hawaii Day!

Well - mostly quite the Hawaii day. I did start off my day by sitting in on one of the 9th Circuit Conference symposiums - a great presentation by scientists from the University of Hawaii on, of all things, asteroids. Very good stuff. Although, I admit that I had some questions regarding their calculations of the probability of dying from an asteroid hit. Their calculated odds seemed a quite high to me.

This afternoon, I went with a group of folks out to world famous Hunauma Bay for some big time snorkeling. What a blast - tons and tons of totally neat fish in a great reef environment. Sometimes I have problems with claustrophobia while snorkeling. But today, it was as easy as pie. No panic attacks. Just lots of hanging out with some totally cool fish. I purchased a disposable water proof camera and took lots of pictures. We’ll see if any of them turn out.

The day finished up with friends and one of the most amazing dinners that Peter and I have ever experienced - easily top five. We dined at Hiroshi’s Eurasion Tapas - a Euro-Asian fusion restaurant that just knocks your socks off. Their approach to food and wine is simply arresting - just marvelous.

A perfect day!!!!
