A Very Tough Call
I think this year is going to be much like last year - no definitive moment as to when the ice goes out. Instead it’s sort of an oozy process. Quite a bit more ice definitely made it’s way out today. But there is still a noticeable amount around the edges.
I have a feeling that I’ll look at the ice tomorrow morning and decide that it’s out and that it went out at some indeterminate time between April 30th and May 1st.
We will see!

What kind of guy wins the Westchester Ice classic one year and doesn’t even show his face the next year? I was too busy encouraging my son to throw a baseball (!) and shoveling snow from my front yard. Excuses ! Wishing you the best this springtime!
