Airconditioning and Global Warming
We’re having a few air conditioning issues at work. A graph depicting the air conditioning temperature trends was sent out. The graph line is basically squiggling at a level state and then it shoots straight up - that’s when the air conditioner quit working. Below is a very funny email thread regarding those issues and the graph:
Isaac: Something about the shape of that graph reminds me of a movie I saw recently…. You know, I don’t know why you want to scare people. Temperature rises have always occurred cyclically like this in history…it’s no big deal….let’ just pretend it’s not happening and maybe everything will be OK….
Dave: There always has to be a wiseguy. For your information, CO2 levels in the building are 20 times higher than they’ve been at any time in the last 650,000 years. There is no doubt that this current heating trend is man-made.
Ted: This is a vast, left-wing, liberal, politico-media-academic conspiracy that’s simply an effort to get new air conditioners and Al Gore elected as president…… I personally like a balmy climate….
Isaac: Right. They don’t really care about the temperature. They just want to sabotage the economy and put hard-working people like Dave and Jerry out of jobs.
Sniveling latte-sipping, newspaper-reading, Volvo-driving, NPR-worshipping communists….
Ted: Last time I checked they drove VW Bugs and Honda Surf-wagon wannabes….
