Headed Back to the (literally) Frozen North

I flap my wings back north this evening. But if it weren’t for Peter and Tyge, I might have come up with a good reason to stay here comparatively warm Seattle. I got a voice mail from my Mom this morning, their thermometer was registering 18 below zero at 8:00 AM this morning. ugh…

Via the Daily News, the National Weather Service states that we’re on track to the coldest March ever recorded.

The city has seen unseasonably frosty temperatures for an unusually long period, according to the National Weather Service.

It started around Feb. 18: The average low was 12 degrees, with 26 degrees the normal high. But Anchorage peaked at 25 degrees and dipped down to 8 degrees. Compared to what was to come, that was balmy. In the days between Feb. 18 and March 13, Anchorage saw an average daily temperature of just 9.2 degrees — 12.2 degrees below the 55-year average for the time.

Sorry I missed seeing you this trip! I’ve stayed home this week, hermitlike, where I can work in the back-friendly position of my choice. It is a ton better though, I’m gonna try a brief walk tomorrow a.m.

Ewww on the weather… I’ve heard it’s gorgeous though.

    Safe travels!
