Wild Ginger Text Exchange

Last week, Jim one of my co-worker buddies, was down here in Seattle with his wife, Dawn. They planned on dining at Wild Ginger for Valentine’s Day. The following is a text exchange between Jim and myself regarding my favorite drink in the whole world, the Wild Ginger’s Satay Separator.

Text #1: Me to Jim:
Hey - when you guys have your dinner tonight at Wild Ginger, I have two drink recommendations for you.

1) Manny’s Pale Ale - simply my favorite pale ale in the world. Nice and hoppy and extremely well balanced.
2) For dessert - A Satay Separator. Beyond description. I lust after that drink on a very regular basis (but you do need to like Grand Marnier and Cognac).

Text #2: Jim to Me:
You’re right. The SS is soooo good. As a matter of fact, I’m having one right now!

Text #3: Me to Jim:
Oooh - would you mind if I posted your little Satay Separator review on my blog??

Text #4: Jim to Me:
Sure. I also challenge anyone to drink one without getting a cream mustache. :)

Text #5: Me to Jim:
Well - that’s nothing. I check to make sure nobody is looking, and then I lick out the inside of the glass. :-)

Text #6: Jim to Me:
So, wouldn’t the white spot at the end of your nose give it away? (Dawn wants to know so she can plan for next time.)

Ah - trust me - a Satay Separator is one of life’s great pleasures! I’m very pleased that I managed to corrupt both Jim and Dawn.

Good grief. What is in that drink? I love the super girly dessert 1,000 calorie drinks. YUM!

Only problem is that they go down a little too easily…there is an event that took place 6 years ago due to too many white Russians that I still can’t live down. Hmmm. Maybe I should blog about “The Turtle!” (you know…instead of packing)
