An Experiment with Mixpo

One of the applications featured at last week’s Demo was Mixpo. Mixpo is sort of multimedia storyboard application. It piqued my interest and based on Alec’s recommendation, I decided to give it a try.

So, here’s my little multimedia experiment with pictures I took last night. I wonder if one can add music to this. Or, does need an underlying media editing program???

Update: Hmmm….I wrote a description for each picture, but those don’t seem to be displaying. And the moose at night picture is really really dark. In the original, you can actually see the moose. Where MixPo would really shine is for multiple static (non-video) pictures - a very handy portable little flash album. One thing I don’t like is that the pictures are so small. They don’t show as well as they could at that small size. But that’s what albums are all about. sigh..

And just for comparative purposes, here are the two photos on their own.

Peter and Tyge in the tunnel:

Santa and the Moose. Hmmmm…On my monitor at work, this picture really is very dark. So, it may not be a MixPo issue.

Boo! Nothing is happening on my computer.

I do have an old Mac though, maybe that’s why…

  2. Steph responds:

Oooh - the latest (or near latest) version of Flash is required. I think.

  3. Frankie responds:

I’ll have to check it out at work, then…my computer might explode if I try to download a new version of flash.

I need to buy a new ‘puter! But, you know, moving every 15 minutes is pricey.

    How are the feet?

  4. Steph responds:

The feet are doing great!!!! Today is the first day where I’m actually walking more without a limp than with a limp. My ankle is definitely moving right along on the healing front.

My toes will be problematic for the rest of the winter. I caught your note regarding foot emollients - I use a super duper cardamom foot butter made by Daves Gate. It is fabulous - so fabulous you could almost eat it.

And I know just how nasty and expensive moving can be. Although, by this point, you’re probably approaching a state of moving zen.
