In The Emerald City - Again!
As I type, I’m ensconced at my home away from home, The Vintage Park. Life is not bad at all.
I flew down this afternoon. As we landed in Seattle, I was greeted by a very strange sight - snow on the ground. I don’t think I’ve ever seen snow in Seattle. Definitely odd. The temperature is also brisk by Seattle standards: 34 degrees. However, that’s pretty balmy in relation to Anchorage. Especially compared to last week’s temperatures of 20 below.
Before the Ski Boy whisked me off to the airport this afternoon, I managed to squeeze in another skijoring outing with Mr. Poochini (Tyge). We had a blast - although we were turned back about 1/2 mile in because of a large ungulate (moose) parked in the middle of the trail. We headed off in the opposite direction and ended up doing about two miles - just like yesterday. We’re definitely studs (well, not really…).
I will say that I incurred a unique skiing injury. My wedding ring is somewhat large and angular. It got sort of pinched between my ring finger, pinkie, mitten, and ski pole. As a result, I have a blister on the inside of my pinkie where my wedding ring was smashed up against it. Which is pretty funny…
Hello. I am
